I have worked as a Case Manager for Access Brain Injury Services since 2004.
I have a full time caseload, most with lifelong support needs as a result of traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury (stroke, cerebral palsy), spinal cord injury and alcohol related brain injury.
Previous to my current employment, I trained as an Enrolled Nurse and worked at Concord Hospital Head and Neck Trauma Unit where I gained experience in management of acute injury. Subsequently I have worked as a Community Nurse, the Coordinator of Westlink Head Injury Recreation & Leisure Services and as a Coordinator of Care programs for clients with high needs at Rainbow Home & Support Services. I have 30 years experience in the disability sector. In this time, I have had the opportunity to develop skills in working in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective rehabilitation and support programs and working with clients and their families to achieve their goals in a community setting. I have experience in front line management of services as well as direct service provision.
I maintain a special interest in Nursing and enjoy working with clients with complex medical needs. I have expertise in palliative care programs.
